What’s the Fayre all about?

It’s a festive fun-filled afternoon for all school families and the local community to enjoy.

There will be traditional stalls: Luxury Tombola, Bottle Tombola, Gift Hamper Raffles and Name the Teddy. There will be classrooms filled with fun games for all children as well as the Christmas crafts room and the Snowflake Spa where children can have glitter make-up, tattoos, face-paints and nail art!

There will be a Makers Market with local businesses selling their wares for Christmas gifts, including: The Flower House Cheshire, Prestbury Candle Company, Cakeface by James, Rococo Prestbury, KeriKit England leather bags, The Crochet Boutique, Little Jen Jewellery and many more lovely stalls with gifts and produce.

There will be musical entertainment on the hall stage from the school children and local brass bands bringing festive cheer to the proceedings outside in the playground.

For refreshments there will be plenty of food and drink to see you through the afternoon: the BBQ will be serving beef, veggie burgers and sausage hot dogs, kindly donated by Brookhouse Farm Shop and the bar will be stocked with wine, beer and bubbles.  If it’s a festive drink you fancy, there will be mulled wine and also the PTA’s very own Spirit of Prestbury Gin Bar.

For even more excitement this year, we have organised three new rides for the kids (and grown-ups) to enjoy. Test your strength and stamina on the Rodeo Reindeer, jump your christmas socks off inside the inflatable Bouncy Christmas Globe or for the more adventurous, step inside the Blizzard Cube snowboard simulator and enjoy cruising down the slopes. We also have the firm favourite Beat the Goalie in the playground!

Of course, the Fayre would not be complete without a magical Santa’s Grotto where children can meet Father Christmas himself. Every child who visits the grotto will see Santa and receive a small festive gift bag.

Santa’s Grotto tickets are £2.50 per child.  Please book here and choose your timeslot to get organised before the day and avoid disappointment.

How can you help – volunteer your time

Can you spare a short time at the Christmas Fayre? Just 30 minutes of help would be great, and would make sure the Fayre runs smoothly and everyone enjoys the afternoon.  We also have lots of tasks to do setting up before and clearing up after the Fayre.

Please sign-up to a stall and time slot (or slots) online here.  As you will see, we need lots of helpers to make the event happen; we really won’t be able to hold it unless we get enough volunteers.  Your children are welcome to help too during your time slot, as we know everyone will be enjoying the event with their families – a great real-life maths lesson!

How can you help – donations

In this current economic climate, we are aware of financial pressures all families are managing and adjusting to, as well as the usual ones in the lead up to Christmas.  The document attached details how you can help us create a special event which raises funds for the school.  We are grateful for whatever support you can give us, whether this is your time or your donations, both are hugely valuable.
