James Lappin

My wife and I moved to Prestbury in January 2016. Our first child arrived shortly thereafter in May 2016 and our second child in January 2018. Both our children attend Prestbury CE Primary School. This is a new role for me and I’m very much looking forward to working with David and the other governors.

I have been a qualified solicitor for over 20 years and was recently appointed to lead the dispute resolution team in Manchester at Fieldfisher LLP, a global practice which operates across 17 jurisdictions and in 28 different locations. I am also the Inclusion and Diversity partner for the Manchester office.

Outside of being a Dad and a lawyer (in that order!), I like to play golf when possible and fairly recently joined Prestbury Golf Club. We are blessed with some beautiful countryside in the area too and I love nothing more than pulling on my walking boots and getting some fresh air with the family.
