Samantha Townes

I am so pleased to be teaching the Year 3 and Year 4 children as they are so full of awe and wonder and they are a real joy to be with. It does not matter the sort of morning you have had because as soon as they walk in through the door, you cannot help but smile. They are keen to please, are willing to work hard and are looking to laugh and have fun at every opportunity.

I am also the Deputy Head and I love this aspect of my job. This role allows me to work closely with Mr Capener and support all the staff and children at our school. I feel incredibly lucky to work alongside the team at Prestbury as I think they are second to none. We have such a willing and happy staff team and this makes our school a great place to be for adults, parents and children alike.

Outside of school, I have two children who keep me incredibly busy. We love spending time with our wider family and are always off out together having picnics at National Trust properties. We also love to cuddle up and watch films at home and eat lots of popcorn! My class is always telling me their latest recommendations for Netflix and Disney +!

I strongly believe that every child can shine at school and I feel at Prestbury we always celebrate the whole child and not just their academic ability and this is why I love my job.
