I retrained and qualified as a Teaching Assistant in 2013, then completed my Foundation Degree in Supporting Teaching and Learning in 2017. I have been a Teaching Assistant at Prestbury since September 2015. I particularly enjoy teaching PE across Lower Key Stage 2, in addition to taking our children to many sports events during the year. The residential trips to PGL are also a highlight for me!
In my previous career I was a vehicle technician for 23 years, mainly with manufacturers such as BMW and Porsche.
I live with my wife and two children, plus our little dog Alfie. Both of my children are extremely active; my son plays cricket and rugby and my daughter also plays cricket for the Cheshire County under 18’s girls team. We have a very busy family life but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
My own interests include cricket and I am a coach at Macclesfield Cricket Club. I play Crown Green bowls and also Short Mat indoor bowls, in which I represented England for 4 years. As a family, we love holidays in North Wales but our highlight was a trip to South Africa, where we visited our partner school, Maxonia. The partnership with Maxonia is something that I am very passionate about, having visited with school back in 2016.
