David Capener

It is my privilege to be headteacher of a great school… great children, staff and parents. I have now been in teaching for 30 years and Head at Prestbury CE Primary for over 14 years. I have been at this school longer than any of my previous schools and love my job.

Being with the children and staff are the highlights of my day. One of the joys of my job is seeing each child’s journey through the school from Nursery/ Reception to Year 6… I particularly enjoy story time with the Reception classes each week, through to the PGL residential with Year 6 and lots more in between.

I have four children and know the responsibilities but also the incredible joys of being a parent. We also have our dog, Harvey, who helps out with pet therapy each Friday in school.

Let your light shine that people may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven
