We aim to provide the children in our care with memorable experiences and key life skills that will support them in their journey through their education. Our children learn skills, acquire new knowledge and demonstrate their understanding through seven areas of learning and development.<\/p><p>Children in the EYFS develop the three prime areas. These are:<\/p><ul><li>Communication and language;<\/li><li>Physical development;<\/li><li>Personal, social and emotional development.<\/li><\/ul><p>The EYFS Prime Areas of Learning, play a significant role in encouraging children\u2019s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. They are a driving force behind helping children as they learn to form relationships, moderate emotions and thrive in their day-to-day life, forming a crucial part of early development. Children are supported in their development during EYFS by underpinning skills they need to master in specific areas. These are:<\/p><ul><li>Literacy;<\/li><li>Mathematics;<\/li><li>Understanding the World;<\/li><li>Expressive arts and design.<\/li><\/ul><p>The EYFS Framework outlines four guiding principles which we embed to shape the practice for our children here at Prestbury Church of England Primary School:<\/p><ul><li>every child is a unique child, who is constantly learning and can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured;<\/li><li>children learn to be strong and independent through positive relationships;<\/li><li>children learn and develop well in enabling environments, in which their experiences respond to their individual needs and there is a strong partnership between practitioners and parents and\/or carers;<\/li><li>children develop and learn in different ways and at different and enjoyment of achievement when learning.\u00a0They persevere through challenges, maintain concentration, and celebrate their successes.\u00a0<\/span><\/li><li><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0.1px;\">Creating and Thinking Critically: Children develop their own ideas, make connections between them, and devise strategies for problem-solving.\u00a0This involves generating ideas, making links
