seriously its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children and young people in its care. \u2018The welfare of children is paramount\u2019 (The Children Act 1989).<\/p><p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px;\">Section 175 of the Education Act 2002 (Section 157 for Independent schools) places a statutory responsibility on the governing\u00a0board to have policies and procedures in place that safeguard and promote the welfare of children who are pupils at the school.<\/p><p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 10px;\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: all children and young people is of paramount importance. Parents and carers rightly expect that when they send their child to school, they are entering a safe, secure and nurturing environment where they can flourish. We are fully committed to making this a reality, and a wide range of safeguarding measures are in place to support this commitment \u2014 these can be found under our \u2018Policies\u2019 tab.<\/p><p>Our Governing Board plays a key role in maintaining high standards of safeguarding. They regularly review policies and receive termly safeguarding updates from the Co-Head Teachers as part of their report. Police and Education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people exposed to domestic abuse.<\/p><p>Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools before the start of the next school day when a child or young person has been involved or exposed to a domestic abuse incident the previous evening.<\/p><p>The information is given in strict confidence to a
