After completing my degree and PGCE, my first teaching job was at a school in Macclesfield. I subsequently worked in 3 other schools, and education authorities, before returning to Cheshire East and Prestbury CE Primary School.
I have a breadth of teaching experience, having worked with children from Nursery to Year 6 during my career. I have held a number of roles at Prestbury and am especially pleased to now be working in the EYFS as well as being a member of the school’s Strategic Leadership Team. I also represent the staff on the school’s governing body.
As an EYFS teacher, I feel lucky to be part of the children’s early stages in their education; whether it be their first steps towards independent reading and writing or learning to work collaboratively on a project outdoors with their friends. Seeing their smiling faces each morning is a wonderful way to start the day.
Outside of school I have two children who are now at university; nearly grown up but not quite! I have a busy social life and enjoy spending time with family and friends, going for walks or meeting up for a meal.
My job is, and always has been, very important to me. I feel lucky to be part of the team at Prestbury CE Primary School.
